On Women’s Day, we honoured the courageous women of 1956 who stood united against oppression and paved the way for future generations. 💜💙🖤

As we reflected on their bravery and resilience, we also acknowledged that the fight for equality had continued in different forms over the years. From advocating for equal opportunities and gender justice to empowering women through education, leadership, and economic participation, the day served as a reminder of the ongoing journey toward meaningful change in our communities.

As part of the commemoration, we hosted an inspiring dialogue featuring women speakers from our local community who are business owners and leaders in their respective fields. We were honoured to be joined by Funani Ntombela of Funarya Beaute, Lerato Miya-Jele of LNL Travels, and Khaya of LCD Khaya Driving School, who shared their entrepreneurial journeys, challenges, and achievements.

We also included a representative from Standard Bank, who provided valuable insights on financial literacy, equipping attendees with practical knowledge on money management and financial empowerment.

The event celebrated the strength, determination, and impact of women past and present, while inspiring continued efforts toward building a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
